Maurice's Main Street Model

I was accepted to be a part of the Maurices Main Street Model Search!  WOO!  I am so excited about this opportunity because it's for a good cause. 

As you may know, 14 years ago my dad died of Colon Cancer and every 5 years I have to get screened myself.  According to a study by the American Cancer Society, removing non-cancerous polyps during colonoscopies resulted in 53% fewer deaths than would be expected from a group similar in race, age, and gender in the general population.  In fact, having colonoscopies and removing the polyps was pretty much the same as not ever having any polyps at all!  You can read more about Colon Cancer on the American Cancer Society's website here.

Wire Name Hanger Tutorial

About a year ago I made some wire name hangers for my friends who were in a wedding with me.  We used them to keep track of our bridesmaids dresses and the bride used her's as a pretty substitute for a plain hanger in the photos of the wedding dress. 

I think they would also be nice to use for a baptism or a 1st communion.

Well, since then, a lot of friends and family have wanted to know how to make them.  Here's how!

Pumped for Baseball Season!

It's almost my favorite time of the year - BASEBALL SEASON!  Spring training is already underway and I think I'm going to need these to show my support for my favorite team!

Chihuahua Buddies

Spent a great weekend with my mom for her birthday.  Mostly just relaxed and ate Chinese food and my mom set a great Valentine's themed dinner table with products all from Dollar Tree!

For my whole life, Valentines Day has mostly been all about my sister's birthday.  She is out of state this year, so it was a little weird not doing a family thing today - but, it was still a pretty awesome day!  I got a beautiful bouquet of roses and I sent my guy THIS

It's a cookie bouquet from Cookies By Design.  He was thrilled and this pic is hilarious - totally worth it!

Pinterest Felt Flowers

Today I got to wear my Pinterest inspired felt flowers for the first time.  My mom made me a huge batch of little flowers to use as accessories. 

I spent most of yesterday adding pins to my flowers and hanging out with these two cuties.
